On 5G-V2X Use Cases and Enabling Technologies: A Comprehensive Survey

5G technologies promise faster connections, lower latency, higher reliability, more capacity and wider coverage. We are looking to rely on these achieve Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications, which increase the safety autonomy of vehicles in addition road safety, saving energy costs. The integration vehicular communication systems is subject many research. Nowadays, researchers address challenges such as automated intelligent networks, cloud edge data processing, network management, virtualization, security, privacy finally interoperability. This paper provides a survey latest V2X use cases including requirements, various enabling under consideration for communications. Subsequently, we first provide an interesting mapping between three pillars case groups. Then, present summary potential applications Finally, open directions research discussed, that await be met pointed out.
